“The death [of] a beautiful woman is, unquestionably, the most poetical topic in the world - and equally is it beyond doubt that the lips best suited for such a topic are those of a bereaved lover.”

~ Edgar Allan Poe, “The Philosophy of Composition”

Phantom Lady takes you to a realm of poetic seduction. With a hauntingly beautiful voice likened to Amy Lee, Lana Del Rey, Sarah Brightman, Thom Yorke, Madonna, and Enya, Phantom Lady drifts seamlessly between genres and moods. The theme is love, and she shares her Romantic dreams with us.

She was born in Anchorage, Alaska. Her family relocated to Cambridge, Vermont when she was young, to a haunted house nestled in a place called “Pleasant Valley.” She was surrounded by acres of forest to explore, a pond with natural artesian springs, a waterfall, and a cornfield owned by a farmer who lived down the road. She then moved to New York City, New York to further her education, attaining a Bachelor’s in English & World Literatures and Philosophy & Religious Studies (double major) and graduating with high honors. Among her accomplishments, she completed an honors thesis on “Silence” in Dante Alighieri’s “The Divine Comedy” which won the Dean’s Award for Excellence and the Priscilla H. Costello Award.

She lived in New York City for nearly six years, performing her music around town even throughout college. She developed a loyal local fanbase, doing shows in venues like LeGrande Lounge, The Bitter End, and the historic Caffe Vivaldi. In 2019 she moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she currently resides.

Her musical influences include Bach, Schubert, Danny Elfman, Étienne Daho, Alice in Chains, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, and Radiohead. She will be releasing a single, Tattoo on My Heart, on November 19th of this year.
